In a quiet coastal village between Courseulles and Arromanches, well placed for discovery of rural Normandy with its street markets, shops and peaceful life-style. Situated right amongst the D-Day landing beaches yet near medieval Normandy and the history of William the Conqueror. Safe yet with many opportunities for study of many academic disciplines including both the humanities (French, History and Geography and religious education) and science (beach studies, flora and fauna, tidal erosion and comparative currency and cost calculations).
This is a very good school accommodation centre and has welcomed our groups for more than 30 years. Many rooms have full en-suite facilities and most others have shower and washbasin. A large airy dining room is where appropriate meals are served to tables. An enclosed yard area, multi-purpose room for discos etc, two classrooms, table tennis and basketball net are provided. The teachers’ room has TV and tea making facilities. The centre can receive up to 97 people in 2 groups in two separate buildings. 4 or 5 students per room and adults in twin or single rooms. The resident director is on site 24/7. Coastal village. Centre is 300m from sandy beach on the Gold Beach British sector of the D-Day landing beaches.[/tab]
