In the heart of rural Normandy in the Suisse Normande a very friendly welcome is provided in this modern private conversion of a traditional fortified farm and barns. We recommend this centre.
Set in extensive grounds with own woodland about 30 minutes by coach south of Caen. Beautifully renovated farm and former barns offer accommodation in three “gites d’acceuil” for up to 75 guests in 20 rooms with mezzanine floors. Students are allocated 2 to 6 bedded rooms and adults, twin or single rooms. In the newest gîte all rooms have en-suite facilities including shower, toilet and washbasin. In other gites, most rooms have shower, some also have toilet and there are facilities along the corridor. Excellent French meals are provided on site and served in the dining room.

In the heart of rural Normandy, in the Suisse Normande with its street markets, rugged scenery and peaceful life-style. Within travelling distance of the D-Day landing beaches yet near medieval Normandy and the history of William the Conqueror. Safe yet with many opportunities for study of many academic disciplines including both the humanities (French, History and Geography and religious education) and science (beach studies, flora and fauna, tidal erosion and comparative currency and cost calculations).
