This centre is run and directed by the regional education authority for the Manche and the director is a qualified teacher appointed to the post. Good clean school accommodation is provided in three buildings. The centre provides easy access to the thriving town of Courseulles with marina, fishing boats, market, beach and an excellent Canadian war museum. Meals are served to tables in the dining room. 4 classrooms, a games room with table tennis and a multi-purpose room suitable for discos are provided as well as a large grassed playing field. 100 beds are available in three accommodation buildings. Students are allocated 4 to 8 bedded rooms and adults, twin or single rooms.
Location
In a quiet coastal village near Courseulles, well placed for discovery of rural Normandy with its street markets, shops and peaceful life-style. Situated right amongst the D-Day landing beaches yet near medieval Normandy and the history of William the Conqueror. Safe yet with many opportunities for study of many academic disciplines including both the humanities (French, History and Geography and religious education)) and science (beach studies, flora and fauna, tidal erosion and comparative currency and cost calculations).
