Small, pedestrianised riverside towns such as Boppard and Cochem are ideal for language activities, town trails and cultural studies.  These small, friendly towns have attractive waterfronts, beamed houses, colourful marketplaces and narrow streets. Koblenz has a wonderful old town, modern shopping centres and Deutsches Eck, the junction of the Rhine and Moselle rivers overlooked by the medieval fortress of Ehrenbreitstein.
